Browsing some of my favorite home decorating sites last night, I came across some lovely Spring-inspired rooms and images that I had to share. Maybe it was my imagination, but this years Spring/Summer decor seems much more floral-y and colorful, as opposed to the very neutral, simpler palates of years past. Blame, among others, Target’s Liberty of London line, perhaps? Judge for yourself, and let me know what you think!

I love the above image, mainly because it would be so easy to implement and change out seasonally. The floral fabric on the headboard can easily be suited to mood/style/season, and the frames above hold basic scrapbook paper. Genius!

I have yet to figure out how some rooms can contain almost every color of the rainbow, but still look pulled together. The above room manages just that, and I just love the contrast of the distressed, worn coffee table with the smooth, sleek bowl, shiny fruit and fresh flowers!

LOVE this look. The pretty and the shabby work well against the darker color of the table. And I am always drawn to the look of mismatched seating.

It took me a minute to decipher why this room says “Spring” to me like it does. I think it’s the neutral color palate with splashes of pink and green thrown in. That, along with the occasional floral fabric, gives the room a very fresh and garden-inspired feel.
What Spring-inspired images have you been drawn to this season?

YAY! you are back!
Wow! I love all those rooms. But I think I'd feel most comfy in the yellow and green room. I've always prefered lots of color over beiges. I hope you are right that this year we've left the neutrals behind!
Great post!
There you are! I am so so so glad you left a comment….. (breathing a sigh of relieve)
Off to catch up!
