I know what you must be thinking. You are thinking it is too early to start thinking about Christmas decorating, when, in fact, now IS the time to start planning your decor. Thanksgiving will be upon us before we know it, and I, in my more on-top-things years, like to have Christmas decorations up soon thereafter.
Looking at the inspiration below, it looks like I am leaning towards bright, simple and fun this year. Take a look at the photos, and let me know what direction your holiday decor will be taking this year!
LOVE this Country Living image for several reasons, but my favorite piece has to be the canvas for displaying holiday cards. You can find large canvas’ at any craft store. Just string across some ribbon, decorate some fun clothespins, and voila!

Seeing as how I already have multiple white glass containers, this mantel would be fairly easy to pull off. Maybe filled with some of the vintage-inspired ornaments from Target I mentioned in this post?

This Country Living image, while only showing a quarter of the mantel, had me at hello. I love the simplicity of it, and the dried cranberry garland adds an element of sweetness and rustic-ness that contrasts nicely with the vase of flowers.

I love the touch of whimsy this easy-to-create candy garland adds to this Good Housekeeping image.

What a great way to display and showcase favorite ornaments! A length of string or twine is all you’d need to recreate this.

    Oh so pretty.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

I have a collection of white/cream McCoy pottery which would look fantastic with balls in them. Thanks for the images. Since I have no mantel, I have to resort to other surfaces.
