party decor using bakers twine

If you don’t already know, I’m a big fan of The Twinery’s fabulous twine

I’ve created clay gift tags, a Fall garland, business cards, and have gift wrapped with the stuff.

Over the summer, me and another gal hosted a bridal shower for my sister-in-law. We had lots of fun decor, and I used twine from The Twinery for several of the details…

The idea for this originally came from Pinterest, though I can’t seem to find the exact image that inspired me.  I just wrapped twine around ordinary mason jars, purchased paper straws off of Etsy, and used Japanese Washi tape to make flags for the straws.

I then utilized my trusty bakers twine while creating these twine-wrapped letters. The letters came from Hobby Lobby ($1.99!), and I just wrapped and secured!

Don’t see the twine? Well, you shouldn’t:) While twine wasn’t the star of this piece, it definitely played a big role in achieving this effect. Using this pin as inspiration, I wrapped mason jars in twine, spray painted the jars, then removed the twine. This was one of my favorite little touches of the day!

This post was created for The Twinery’s blog….if you like to be inspired, I encourage you to check it out! Lots of twine projects, inspiration, and giveaways await!
