One of the goals of this blog is to share new creations and additions to my own living spaces. Some days, I feel confident that not much goes on around my home that you all don’t know about. Then, other days, I look up from my kitchen table, notice a plate rack that’s been hanging there for months, and realize I neglected to share it with you all. Oops. And the thing is, I love it. It fills a wall that I’ve had a hard time finding just the right thing for, and gives me needed storage/display.
My husband and I designed it, and he built it for me for Mother’s Day this year (see, told you I was behind in sharing).
If you are thinking of a acquiring a plate rack yourself, here are some inspiration images to consider…
This BHG plate rack is very similar to mine-love the greens with the pop of blue!
Lovin’ the mug storage in this image via Country Living. Must measure mine to see if I could do something similar.
Also from Country Living, this is a great alternative to a traditional cabinet if plates are your main storage concern.

This pallet/plate rack looks fabulous in this setting…not sure if it would fit in with my decor as well, but I can’t help but covet it.
