I love to collect things. Everything from functional things like cool pictures frames, to pretty things like cupcake wrappers and washi tape. The only thing that keeps it all from getting out of hand is watching a good dose of TLC’s Hoarders every now and then.
These pretty groupings, though, make me want to add to my list of collections. Take a look and tell me in the comments-what do you love to collect?

This collection makes me want to go on a nature walk, stat (and learn to crochet).

Love these thrifted spoons dipped in paint. Wouldn’t they be neat glued onto a canvas (or in a shadowbox) for a kitchen display?

Beach glass! This is one thing I don’t collect, but have no idea why. It looks pretty displayed all by itself, or you can use it for multiple crafting purposes. Looks like a trip to the beach is in order!

You could probably gather up a collection of vintage tea cups and saucers pretty easily (and cheaply)…these look so pretty grouped together!

Unless you’re a family of two dozen, I’m not sure what exactly you’d use all these bowls for. But does it really matter? They are so charming grouped together like they are!

My favorite collections are, by far, the ones involving nature. This collection would look great dried, framed, and hanging in a sunroom or porch.

Ah…be still my heart. This may be my favorite. Such pretty pieces in a very favorite color.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

I understand being drawn to certain things – mine is cream and sugar white hobnail ceramics – but I stop myself because I feel like it has to make sense or be useful. Like that person with a million cereal bowls. What will she do with them all? Have the entire neighborhood over for cheerios?
Ha! Too true. They sure are pretty, though! Have a great night, thanks for commenting! xoxo
Love the turquoise/aqua collection! Hmmm….is it ok to collect ‘several’ things at the same time?? I love milk glass…….have quite a collection of Fiestaware……and love the old glass insulators.
Milk glass fulfills my wish/desire for all things white and cottage-y……Fiestaware reminds me of my beloved Grandma {she always had a green Fiestaware pitcher of ice water in her refrigerator} and the glass insulators…..hmmmm….I guess because my first purchases were aqua (my fav) and they also bring the feel of a cottage or farm house.
I don’t have the room (or the OCD meds) to let the ‘collections’ get out of hand. Sometimes, to fulfill a wish to purchase—-I gift the item! The pieces I have in my home are ones that just ‘called’ to me.
I recently passed up some glass insulators and am kinda regretting it! I was unsure what to do with them though…any clever display ideas? Thanks for commenting, Cyndi!!
I use them as an accent to decor….on shelves, my hall table, wrapped with raffia, gorgeous with a collection of shells & beach glass, grouped together according to color either the same colors—-or a mix of all I own.
I have some on windowsills, next to plants…..ahhh, heck! I’ll just have to take some pictures and post a new blog on my love of glass insulators!
I love those spoons dipped in paint – what a great idea. My own collecting habits are little pitchers (glass and ceramic), old Mason jars (which double as drinking glasses), and tea cups. I love tea cups to hold little things on top of a dresser or in a drawer, or to serve dessert (as well as tea, of course!)…but living in a tiny cottage for many years keeps me mindful about accumulating too many of these things. Maybe the cereal bowl collector above can have a neighborhood ice cream social to use all those great bowls!
What a great collection!
