Quick and Easy Craft Ideas

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and All You, but  all my opinions are my own. #lifeforless #pmedia

I don’t know about you, but as a crafter, blogger and mom, I gather inspiration from many sources-blogs, Pinterest, and even magazines. One of my favorite magazines for inspiration? All You magazine. With the tagline, “enjoy life for less,” it’s the perfect inspiration for all aspects of my life.

I picked up the July issue the other day, and spent a few minutes that afternoon browsing through the issue.

I loved (and you will, too) an article about some of the many money-saving apps out there, just waiting to be downloaded. I also was inspired by a decorating article entitled “Make Your Home Happier,” which shared lots of budget-friendly ideas to brighten every corner of your home.

As most of you all know, I love to craft, and All You definitely did not disappoint in that area! Inspired by features found in the July issue, I completed two different craft projects, and am so excited to share them here with you all today!

First up, I was inspired by an article about how to get the look of framed art, without spending a lot of money. I came up with a piece of shadowbox art, using scrapbook paper and sea glass:

The how-to for this is super simple. I found a 6×6 shadowbox at Michaels, and cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit inside.

I then hot glued sea glass (found on etsy) to the paper. This piece looks great in almost every room of my house-it’s going to be hard to decide on a home for it!

Next up, a piece I completed as part of their monthly column, Take This, Make That, in which two bloggers take an everyday object and repurpose it into something for their home.

I love a good challenge, and I was excited to take this month’s object, an aluminum can, and repurpose it into something fabulous:

Here’s how I did it:

I took a plain aluminum can, and spray painted it white.

I then used painters tape to tape off the middle, and used Mod Podge and glitter to add sparkle to the top and bottom of the can…

Lastly, I added a quick embellishment with some twine and a button, and I was done-two easy crafts, and less than $10 to create them both, thanks to All You!

As you can see, All You inspires all aspects of my life, and I know it’ll do the same for you! Use this link to find your nearest retailer, and a money-saving coupon to purchase your copy of All You!
