Riddle me this…what rock have I been living under that I didn’t realize Sarah Richardson had this amazing show called Sarah 101? It’s on HGTV and is a crash course in design hosted by Sarah and Tommy and I was lucky enough to find it while flipping channels last Friday. It’s filled with tips and tricks that the duo have learned over the years, and the room reveals are just amazing. Here are some of my favorite images from Sarah 101….

Sigh…I just adore the way she mixes and matches pattern and color. Genius. So tell me, have you seen Sarah 101? Which room/episode is your favorite?

ikea wicker chair makeover

At a recent Ikea excursion, I picked up this simple wicker chair with the intent of gussying it up a bit for our living room. I got it home and, while trying to decide on a color for it, decided on a trend double-whammy-pantone’s color of the year, emerald green, for the chair and dip dyed legs in navy blue.

Now, you all know me-I tend to steer clear of the latest and greatest trends, but I wanted this piece to be fun, and it’ll be so easy to repaint once I get tired of the color scheme.
