Hello Friends! Today’s post is a super-exciting one, so let’s get started!

When Christen, from Love Elaine, approached me to help spread the word about her kickstarter campaign, I immediately knew I wanted to help.

In short, Kickstarter is an online site that helps projects get funding through pledges. Love Elaine is using kickstarter to get the financial support needed to produce items for the 2012 holiday season.  They’re using Kickstarter to assist in purchasing wholesale fabric (twice as much as last year), building a new website with an online store to reduce Etsy fees (although they’ll still be on Etsy), and hire folks to help with sewing and production to meet projected demand (twice as much as last year).

What a great way to support handmade!
