link love {favorite DIYs and tutorials}

Hello, Friends! I had gotten a bit behind on my blog-reading due a busy weekend, and came back to my google reader not believing all the fun and fab DIY projects out there! Here are a few of my favorites…

This amazing knob DIY from Infarrantly Creative is easier than it might appear….I definitely want to give this a try!

Love the rustic feel of this farmers market bag tutorial from Design Sponge!

Andrea from Knitty Bitties shares this easy-to-follow chair cushion re-cover tutorial!

And, lastly, how adorable is this? I love flip flops this time of year (any time of the year, actually), so this tutorial from The Mother Huddle is perfect!

At the moment, I don’t have any DIY projects in the works (hate that), but just looking at all the great projects out there is definitely giving me the craft itch. What are you working on currently?

So you know I couldn’t write a post about the wonder of knobs without then following it up with a post sharing some fun knob finds, right? Right. I am nothing if not predictable.

So let’s get to it, shall we?

I like to be fairly objective on my blog and not play favorites, but I can’t lie…these knobs practically inspired this post; I was almost giddy when I found them-so, so lovely.

Another Etsy find, these knobs are perfectly shabby chic-and come in a great variety of colors!

While you and I both know how much I love Etsy, I do have to admit, my go-to place for knobs is none other than Anthropologie. The selection is amazing, and when you find them on sale they can be reasonably well-priced as well. Not to mention, sometimes it’s worth spending a few extra dollars for hardware with the wow factor to really make your piece.

Not to be outdone, Restoration Hardware also has some drool-worthy hardware. Love how organic and rustic this one is!

Have a World Market in the area? They have a large selection of fun, inexpensive knobs to choose from….definitely worth a visit!

So tell me, where is your go-to place for furniture hardware?

all about knobs (and some winners)

I received lots of lovely comments on my latest furniture rehab post, and almost every single one of them mentioned The Knobs. Those glorious, turquoise, teardrop beauties from Anthro that, many of you said, made the dresser. It got me thinking about how important those finishing touches are-that no matter how wonderful and unique your paint job is, if you don’t add the right finishing touch, something seems incomplete. The right hardware is your furniture’s jewelry, so to speak.

The bronze knobs in the first and fifth pictures came from Lowe’s, the white teardrop knobs in the fourth photo came with the dresser (Ikea), and the rest are from Anthropologie.

Looking at my collection, I seem to run the gamut from traditional to quirky to colorful and everything in between.

What’s your knob personality?

Last but not least, the winner of the Amy Peter’s Studio giveaway is Ashlei (no profile) and the winner of the I Love It All giveaway is Rachel. Contact me, ladies, and I’ll get you hooked up.
