An easy tutorial for how to Mod Podge pencils!
Mod Podge crafts are so popular right now, and these Mod Podged pencils are an easy craft project for kids and adults alike!
I know I’m tooting my own horn here, but can we just take a moment to sit back and admire how just plain adorable these Mod Podged pencils are?
I noticed something similar on Anthropologie’s site a few months ago, and can’t believe it took me this long to create this tissue paper and Mod Podge knock off.
All you need is this:
Love the tissue paper? Me too. I found it at Target this week, and you can purchase online here. The patterns are bold, geometric and very on-trend.
Step 1: Create a template out of cardstock so you can easily cut your tissue paper. Mine was 1″ x 9″, 2″ longer than my pencils, so that I could make the cute embellishments at the end. Cut out a length of each of your tissue paper pieces using your template.
Step 2: Paint a strip of Mod Podge along the lower edge of your tissue paper, and adhere to your pencil.
Step 2: Brush Mod Podge on the rest of tissue paper, and wrap around the pencil. Let dry.
Step 3: Once dry, use scissors to carefully cut the excess tissue paper into thin strips.
Step 4: Take a piece of coordinating twine and tie a knot just the pencil eraser. Clip ends.
And that’s it! Perfect for gift giving, or just to add a little cheer to your office or desk.
Thanks for reading my tutorial on how to mod podge pencils with tissue paper! Have a lovely day!
