Yesterday, I shared some picture rail molding inspiration, and today, I want to share my own updated picture rail wall…
I replaced the black ribbon I previously used to hang my frames with jute twine for a more natural look. Because the twine is so thin, I was able to easily loop it through the hooks on the back of my frames and hang (the ribbon I had used previously had to be hot glued onto the back of my frames).
I positioned the tied end of the jute at the top so it would be visible on my hooks…if you want a cleaner look, just position your knot at the bottom and hang with the looped end of the twine.
With a mixture of white, gray and brown frames, all with white mats, the picture rail ties together the finishes in the room nicely.
Do you have picture rail molding in your home?
If not, would you ever try it? I love how I can easily change up the frames/arrangement/art without making new nail holes (important for someone with a short decorating attention span!)
Thanks for reading all about my picture rail wall! Have a lovely day!
