Anticipating a big event is half the fun. These free printable advent calendars are a fun and easy way to countdown to Christmas!
I love the idea of a printable countdown to Christmas that is fun and hands-on, but doesn’t require a huge time or monetary investment.
Just print (full printing instructions below), hang on a wall with washi or painters tape, and let the countdown to Christmas begin!
Most of these only need glue and some sort of object to glue on, such as pom poms, buttons, or cotton balls.
For others, you can print out the freebie and use it to create your own advent calendar with candy, etc. Choose what works best for your family!

How to Print
Our printable advent calendar is so easy to download and print out.
Just follow these steps:
- Click on the printable(s) you’d like to download, and save to your computer (I usually save to my desktop).
- Send to your favorite photo printer to have printed on either matte cardstock or photo glossy paper (at-home printing is, of course, an option, but I find professional printers usually print colors and images more vividly and clearly).
- Printables print best at 8×10 or 11×14.
- Hang on a wall with a length of washi tape and you’re ready to decorate and countdown!
