Like almost everyone we know, we love incorporating bacon into our meals and recipes. Needless to say, when I heard about Smithfield’s Bacon Bar, I knew it was something I wanted to incorporate into my own holiday entertaining this year.
The best part of the holidays is connecting with friends and family, and I love a Bacon Bar as a fun and creative twist on entertaining. The best part, though, is that Smithfield has done most of the work for you! They’ve created printable labels, recipe ideas (think Peppered Brown Sugar, Sea Salt Caramel, and Caramelized Bourbon Bacon), decor inspiration and more to make creating your own Bacon Bar easy and fun.
I created an easy Maple Brown Sugar Bacon recipe that would be right at home at any Bacon Bar.
Simply combine half a cup of brown sugar with 1/4 cup maple syrup. Brush onto your bacon, and place in a cool oven. Set over to 350 degrees, and check on the bacon after about 20 minutes or so.
YUM, right?
The best part of entertaining for me, though, is coming up with creative, yet easy, decor ideas. I put together this 5-minute holiday centerpiece, perfect for lending some color and ambiance to your own Bacon Bar!
Start with either stemless wine glasses or mason jars, fresh cranberries, tealight candles and some greenery (I used branches from a tree in our yard–Christmas tree cuttings would work well, too)!
Fill your glasses almost to the top with water. Add in your greenery, your tealight candle, and your cranberries.
Now, for the best part! Who wants to win a year’s supply of bacon? To enter to win a Smithfield “Bacon For a Year” coupon booklet (estimated value of $300), visit Smithfield’s Bacon Bar page, and leave a comment with your favorite Bacon Bar recipe!

My favorite is Crispy Bacon Twists with Gouda and Apricot Preserves. Cheese and bacon and sweetness, I mean you can't go wrong thee.
