Christmas Slime {An Easy Christmas Slime Craft for Kids}

We get hours of entertainment from homemade slime recipes, and I love that it’s such a quick craft project…and I usually have everything we need on hand!

I like that the ingredients are fairly safe, and we have most of these things around our home on any given day.

Wanting to take my basic recipe and gussy it up for the holidays, we created this Confetti Christmas Slime!

I am always looking for fun, easy and inexpensive crafts to do over Christmas break, and this is one of our favorites!

It is the perfect Christmas slime recipe for kids to make and gift to their friends-just place in a small container, wrap with twine, add one of these printable Christmas Poems for Kids, and you’ve got a fun and affordable gift idea.

How Do You Make Slime with Three Ingredients?

Want to use even fewer ingredients to make slime?

Try this: 5 ounces of glue, 1/2 tablespoon baking soda, and 1 tablespoon contact lens solution. You can leave out the glitter or confetti!

To add some interest to the slime, use a glow in the dark glue, or a glitter glue!

How Do You Make Fluffy Slime?

To make fluffy slime, you can take our Christmas slime recipe and add about 3 cups of foam shaving cream.

You’ll add the shaving cream to the bowl first, add coloring (if desired), then add the glue, baking soda and contact lens solution.

Super easy!

Christmas Slime

Here’s what you need to make this Christmas slime recipe for yourself…

Materials:

• Clear Glue- 5 Ounces (you can also use a favorite glitter, neon or glow in the dark glue if you’d like for this)
• Christmas confetti
• 1/2 TBSP Baking Soda
• 1 TBSP Contact Lens Solution*

Step 1: Empty bottle of glue into a bowl.

Step 2: Add your baking soda and stir.

Then, add in a few tablespoons of confetti and stir.

Lastly, add in your contact lens solution.

After the slime begins to form, you may want to remove it from the bowl and knead it with your hands. But be careful: the slime can stick to your hands if it’s not mixed well!

We like to mix it pretty well in the bowl, then knead it on the table with just our fingers (instead of getting our whole hand in the slime mixture).

Pretty soon, you’ll have the perfect, non sticky slime!

Slime still too sticky? Add a drop or two more of contact solution!

The best part of this slime recipe is you can customize it with different types/colors of confetti. Make it for party favors, playdates, gifts and more!

Slime will keep for a few weeks in an airtight container, such as Tupperware or a ziploc bag.

*only contact solutions containing borate or boric acid will create slime
