1- Black Forest Pudding

Black forest pudding is always a special dessert that tastes simply awesome. It is made with layers of chocolate cake, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. It is a delicious treat that is perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients for Black Forest Pudding: 

  • 30 oz pound cake; you can use half vanilla & chocolate.
  • 3 oz custard powder.
  • Half cup chilled whip.
  • Milk to prepare custard.
  • Chopped cherries for topping.
  • Half cup grated semi-sweet chocolate.

Instructions to Bake: 

  1. Make custard powder according to package instructions. Let it cool and set in the fridge, covered with cling wrap so it doesn’t dry out.
  2. Remove it from the fridge and mix gently with a cool whip.
  3. Make small squares out of the pound cake by cutting it into small pieces.
  4. Place half of the pound cake in a dish as a base layer. If the pound cake isn’t very moist, soak it in about 1/3 cup of milk if it isn’t a very moist cake.
  5. Put a layer of the creamed custard over the cake and then top with half the lightened cream.
  6. If you want to make sure it is evenly distributed, you can top it with chopped cherries.
  7. If the pound cake isn’t very moist, soak it with about 1/3 cup milk before layering.
  8. Be sure to cover the whole surface of the custard cream with the cream and spread it evenly.
