Spring is finally within reach, and, for me, that means it’s time to turn my attention to easy spring entertaining. Last year, I shared my love for Gloria Ferrer wines with a no-sew wine bag tutorial, but today, I’m sharing my favorite Gloria Ferrer wines paired with one of my favorite appetizers for entertaining–crostini! These crostini recipes are easy, delicious, and perfect for all your spring entertaining needs.
Who else out there loves a good crostini recipe? Today, I’m sharing recipes for three of my favorites: Caprese Crostini, Sun Dried Tomato, Olive and Goat Cheese Crostini, and Pear and Gorgonzola Crostini! First, though, let’s talk about the wines I paired the crostini with…
Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards is not only the first sparkling wine house in Sonoma Carneros, but also the first to bring back clones from France to plant their vineyard. With 335 acres under vine, the estate vineyards at Gloria Ferrer is known as experts in the production of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and produce estate grown still and sparkling wines that rival some of the world’s finest.
Gloria Ferrer Carneros Chardonnay is aged for nine months on French Oak Barrels to increase complexity. The wine opens with aromas of tropical flavors, meyer lemon, and a hint of toasty oak. Their Carneros Pinot Noir emits aromas of black cherry, cedar, and spice with a smooth mouth feel and long finish.
What makes crostini such a great appetizer for entertaining? They’re simple, delicious, and you can easily customize them to your guests’ tastes and whatever looks good at the farmers market that morning.
So there you have it! My favorite crostini recipes to pair with my favorite Gloria Ferrer wines.
