So, what do you get when you’re looking for an easy craft using things you already have on hand? You get this embroidery hoop project- it’s simple and understated, yet fun and interesting. The leaves are from book pages, which lends a bit of texture and upcycled appeal to the piece. And the baker’s twine (from The Twinery) just adds some fun.
I started with a 14″ embroidery hoop, bakers twine, and some die cut leaves. I used a blunt needle, with a large eye, to thread the twine, and tied one end to the hoop. I threaded the twine through the leaves, and tied off each length with a knot.

So CLEVER! I'm getting the strongest 'Duh, why didn't I think of that!' feeling right now. It's so cute and simple, understated - not beat-you-over-the-head-its-fall like a lot of other projects out there. SO trying this! Thanks for sharing!
