Hello there, sweet readers! It’s me, the-absent-but-haven’t-forgotten-y’all blogger. What can I say? It’s been a busy couple of weeks–mostly with finishing up last-minute Etsy orders, but holiday get-togethers played a part, as well as an icky cold that was with me the two days before Christmas Eve. All’s better now, though, and I hope you guys had a fabulous holiday. I shared this little gem of my two sweethearts on Facebook, and it just about sums up our Christmas–lots of gifts, smiles, and cuddles…as well as plenty of family, friends and yummy, yummy food. All that being said, I was glad to get most of the holiday décor put away this weekend. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand to have the tree up much past the weekend after Christmas.
As is tradition around here, I wanted to share my favorite posts from the past with you all-most of you who’ve been with me a while are familiar with these, and I hope new fans of this blog find something to inspire. I’ll share my favorites from this past year very soon. Without further ado…
The favorite of my favorites? It would probably be my stenciled china cabinet tutorial. The fun pattern and bright color definitely adds the “wow factor” to my living room, and I get compliments on this piece all the time!
Next up, my french chair makeover was completed using drop cloths and craft paint! Definitely more wallet-friendly than an authentic grain sack.
This was one of my most-pinned crafts for 2012-my felt ombre wreath tutorial! To this day, I just love this wreath, and have several in different colorways throughout my home.
I love glitter, and these votives were easy to make and are extremely versatile!
This was one of those projects that turned out even cuter than I had imagined. I really want to make more of these felt bow garlands next year!
Combining burlap and gold dots is a winning combination in my book…they came together beautifully in this looped burlap wreath!
If my readers had a favorite tutorial of 2011, it was definitely this Shabby Flower Pillow Tutorial. Mine was created out of linen, but for months afterwards readers emailed me their versions-using everything from tablecloths, to bright and bold fabrics, to velvet. Months later, this pillow is still one of my very favorites.
This dresser redo from January is my all-time favorite furniture rehab of mine. The striped top and pretty hardware add a touch of glam, and the light grayish-whitish-blueish color is probably my favorite color of the year…I used it over and over and still love it.
May brought us this magnetic hardware wire frame via a 1970’s bathroom mirror castoff. It was easy to create and hangs nicely in my bedroom (though that was a hard call…I wanted one for every room of the house)!
I really can’t wait to pull out this shell garland again…it’s simple, it’s coastal-inspired, and looked great hanging from my Pottery Barn Inspired Ledge.
Another reader favorite was this hand-lettering tutorial…for what it’s worth, it’s also the tutorial I get the most can-you-explain-that-again emails about (smiles). Not sure if that’s because the process is complicated, or I didn’t explain it all that well-either way, my inbox is always open!
I shared the tutorial for this burlap and flower wreath on Everything Etsy last August. Love the rainbow effect of the flowers!
Twine from The Twinery plus air dry clay equal simple and pretty hearts to use for garlands, gift toppers, and more!
Love, love, LOVE this leaves and lace wreath–definitely one of my favorites of 2011!
xoxo
