With two kids and LOTS of electronics in our household, quality batteries are a must! So when Duracell approached me to try out their new Optimum batteries, I was happy to do it.

Duracell Optimum batteries are now widely available, including at Publix, where I was shopping the other day. Duracell is the #1 trusted brand of batteries, and their Optimum batteries are available in both AA and AAA sizes, both of which we use a LOT. They come in packs of 4, 6, and 12 and I understand they can deliver extra life* in some devices or extra power* in others, vs. Coppertop AA/AAA batteries, which is so important to us. There’s nothing my kids hate more than having a much-loved toy or game run out of batteries!

We were able to put them to use with an electronic circuit kit that had previously run out of batteries. I love how Duracell Optimum batteries have a resealable case…perfect for safely storing your extra batteries.

We also love to include Duracell Optimum batteries when giving a gift that requires batteries. That way, the recipient can start playing with the gift almost immediately, without the parents having to scramble around to find batteries.

To make a little pouch at the front of your gift (perfect for batteries and even cards), take your wrapping paper and fold over the end to make a pocket. Cut off the length of paper you’ll need, and then simply wrap your gift as usual. I love card-stock since it’s a little heavier and stronger! You can then let your kids decorate the gift using permanent markers, crayons or even paint.

Gently lift the fold of your wrapped gift and insert your batteries. We’ve found that kids LOVE unwrapping gifts when they see batteries are involved…they simply can’t wait to see what’s inside!!
