Hi I have used the clear 12x12x plastic boxes for my Granddaughter ongoing projects they were scrapbooking and by adding their name and getting colored ones from Costco there is no argument. I also buy my magazine holders from Ikea super cheap I put a piece of packing tape one the bottom to secure it. I also needed a place to put my printer and loose individual papers so I repurchased a old changing table. For the shelf space I have my printer on the lower shelf with printer paper and on my top shelf my cube withe shelves for individual pieces of papers 12x12 that I purchased at the craft store or took from one of my books this keeps everything flat and clean. I also have room for my single cup coffee machine for those early mornings when inspiration hit me and I want to craft. I really appreciate all your suggestions and always look forward to reading more. Thank you so much. Happy Crafting
