First, let’s talk a little bit about what SVG files are, and how to use them.
What is an SVG File?
SVG files (the SVG stands for scalable vector graphic), are a standard graphics file type used for rendering two-dimensional images.
SVG files are SEO-optimized and generate clean, crisp graphics at any scale.
How Do I Open SVG Files?
SVG files usually will come in a zipped folder and will need to be extracted before you can use the files.
After you download your file, you’ll need to unzip it before you can import it into your cutting machine program.
To unzip your SVG file, click the folder and choose “extract all”.
Then, you’ll be prompted to choose where you want your files to go. You can either choose your desktop, or create a folder so you can keep your SVG files easily organized.
Once you are in your design space (either Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio for most of you), you’ll then upload your file and begin designing your project for your.
