The 3 Things That Go Into Hiring A House Cleaning Company

There comes a time when you either simply get tired of pushing your vacuum cleaner around or you just don’t have the time. That doesn’t mean that you can’t have a clean and sparkly home. You certainly deserve a clean house so it’s time to think about hiring a cleaner or cleaning company to do the job for you.

There are a number of ways to hire a cleaner and it all depends on what your needs are. For instance, you could have a cleaner come once a week and do the tidying up which would include things like vacuuming and washing the windows. Or, you may need a twice-a-year deep home cleaning in which a company washes the carpets and upholstery.

In this article, we will go over what you should do to hire a cleaner and make sure you get what you need.

1 – Assess your needs

Do a quick audit of what actually needs to be cleaned so you can then coordinate better with the company when they come. Go around the house and identify the areas that you never seem to be able to get to when you clean your own house.

You can easily take your most hated house cleaning tasks off of your plate and give them to your cleaner. It doesn’t even matter how big or small the job may be as there is a cleaning company for every type of job. If it’s something that piles up because you don’t like doing it then put it on the list.

2 – Agree on the chemicals to use

The cleaning company is going to use whatever cleaning products that they usually do when they clean unless you specify what you want. When you have certain allergies or would rather just use green cleaning products then you need to let them know ahead of time.

Many cleaning companies are happy to meet your needs when it comes to the products used and many have a variety that they can use. This way if you have a septic system and want to make sure that nothing but septic safe toilet paper goes into it then you can be sure that they are not going to put anything harmful down the pipes.

3 – Do you need to do a pre-clean-up?

It’s not uncommon for many homeowners to clean up before the cleaner comes over. This may be necessary when the cleaner only has a limited amount of time to clean or the things they will be cleaning need to be accessible.

It is important to understand what you need to do so you can tidy up things like the laundry or wash the dishes before they arrive. If you don’t want to do that then you need to make arrangements for them to clean certain things that they don’t usually do. This will almost certainly cost you more money but it will also free up the time that it takes for you to clean if they do this step for you.
