One simple, creative way that I use to celebrate different holiday with my kids is to create easy, themed snack mixes. My kids LOVE them, they take almost no time to put together, and they’re a fun way to mark holidays and special occasions. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I wanted to create a themed snack mix that my kids would enjoy over the next week or so as we celebrate the day of love!
First, I wanted to create covered pretzels to add to the mix. I melted a handful of white melting wafers, added a couple of drops of food coloring, dipped my pretzels, and covered them with sprinkles.
Place on a sheet of parchment paper, put in the refrigerator to quicken hardening process, and that’s it!
Add to the rest of your ingredients. I used rice cereal, oyster crackers, mini marshmallows, yogurt raisins, and a few conversation hearts to create my snack mix. Toss together.
What simple, creative ways do you celebrate holidays with your family?

How sweet! My grandsons, 10, 8 and 5 would love this. I'm going to make it for them. Thanks for a great tip!
