Like so many of you, I am currently homeschooling my two kids.
For us, this means lots of time reading, writing, and practicing math. We’re also completing some art projects, and spending time in nature.
Looking to further expand our home-school experience, we’ve been taking some virtual field trips, and my kids are loving them!
So many places we could never visit in person have been offering free virtual tours, and it’s been one of the perks of this unexpected time at home.
So today, I’m sharing some favorite virtual field trips to enhance your own home-school routine!

Explore the surface of Mars on the Curiosity Rover! Every weekday at 3 PM EDT, the Cincinnati Zoo will host a Home Safari Facebook Live that features a different animal each day. For those who don't have Facebook, the zoo will post the videos on both their website and YouTube. The Smithsonian is offering virtual tours of both current and past exhibits. Take a virtual tour of the Louvre Museum in France! Tour the White House with President and Mrs. Obama! San Diego Zoo offers so much on their site, including live video cams of your favorite animals. This video will show you everything there is to see on a Canadian egg farm! Live feeds from the Georgia Aquarium! Take a virtual trip of Yellowstone National Park! Discover the fascinating science involved in the pursuit of a new medication during the Generation Health Virtual Field Trip Virtual tour of Bryce Canyon National Park. - Drawing with Michael Woodside – learn to draw Disney Characters – live streamed on YouTube and Instagram daily at 10:00 am – #drawingwithwoodsy (videos are also recorded).
